Students Causing Peace and Understanding through Global Art Project

Three friends – graduates of the Landmark Forum and other Landmark programs, came together to create a unique peace organization that empowers young people to cause peace and understanding through art murals and communication exercises.
Jeff Clapp, Donna Clapp and Jeff Rudy formed Where Peace Lives to allow young people to realize that they can make a real difference in causing peace to happen in the world. The programs of Where Peace Live typically feature a school in one part of the world coming together and creating a mural representing peace, which they then trade for another mural created by another school in a different part of the world that has done the same thing.
Schools in the United States have traded murals with schools in places like Egypt and Costa Rica. Much of the following video is from when Where Peace Lives was featured as a guest presenter at the United Nations Non-Violence Youth Conference. A student from the Wall school in New Jersey tells about his experience with the project and realizing that he could make a real and lasting difference in the world.
